Reasons why are: It's classic (birchwood handle, genuine leather sheath, etc.), it's reasonably priced, and it comes with a sharpener. Rapala is a trusted name in the fishing industry and this particular knife has been on the market since the 1960s. As far as I know, there are three blade lengths available today: 4", 6", and 7 1/2". I own the 6" model. Wal-Mart carries them and sells them for the best price as well. Why would you buy a plastic/rubber handled fillet knife when you can get this beauty with a leather sheath and sharpener?! You won't be disapointed in this handy knife!
